Soccer team defeats Junction City
The boys soccer team started off the scoring in the eighth minute with a goal by junior Ethan Nunnery, assisted by junior Zach Wagner.
The second goal came from Nunnery in the tenth minute with another assist from Wagner.
In the 26th minute sophomore Jacob Maska scored with the assist coming from Nunnery to make the game 3-1.
The fourth goal was scored by Wagner with the assist from sophomore Trey McCrae in the 37th minute.
At half time the score was 4-2 with Hays in the lead.
Nunnery Finished off the scoring in the 48th minute with an unassisted goal.
The team’s record move to 5-6 on the year, they play at 1 p.m. Sept 29 at Liberal High School.
