On Oct. 3, the boys soccer team took on the home team, the Dodge City Demons, in Dodge City.

Hays varsity and junior varsity teams played hard-fought games but eventually both lost. Varsity lost with a score of 6-0, and JV lost with a score of 3-1.

The next opponent that they played would also be an away game, this time at Liberal on Oct. 5. Varsity won its game, 2-1, but JV lost its game, 4-0.

The next games were at home against Wichita Trinity on Oct. 10. While both teams played hard, varsity ended up losing, 2-1, while JV came out with a 6-0 win.

“We moved the ball very well around their team, we had a lot of good chances to score and the whole team played really well,” junior John Weisenborn said.

Garden City was the teams’ next home game on Oct. 12. Both teams clinched wins against the Buffalos, with varsity winning, 2-1, and JV winning, 1-0.
