To finish off the season, girls golf competed at the state-wide competition on Monday and Tuesday, October 16-17th at Carey Park Golf Course in Hutchison, KS.
Senior Evyn Cox placed 8th overall, and was awarded an “All State” medal. Cox totaled 162 between the two days. Next, senior Abbie Norris placed 11th and totaled 170 after both days. Junior Jaycee Oakley placed 13th, and had a total of 172. Senior Lily Garrison placed 15th with a total of 173. Norris, Oakley, and Garrison were also awarded an “All State” medal. Then, senior Ashlynn Banker placed 47th with a total of 195.
Overall, the team placed 2nd, close behind Wichita-Kapaun Mt. Carmel. They came out with a total of 680 after the two days.
“This being my last year, I am so proud of how far everyone has come. I’ve gotten to see this team go to state all four years here, and each year these girls never fail to do amazing,” said Banker.
