Lady Indian softball continues its winning streak
For the week of April 24-28, the Hays High softball team competed on Thursday, April 27 against Thomas More Prep-Marian. The lady Indians had a clean sweep over the Monarchs, the first game being 11-10 and the second game being 10-0.
In the following week, the lady Indians played the Liberal Redskins on May 2, where the Indians traveled to Liberal to play a double header. The Indians won both games, with the first score being 16-1 and the second score being 19-11.
This put the lady Indians in a position to win the Western Athletic Conference title. They were guaranteed to share the title, but to win the overall, they had to beat Liberal in a single game on Friday, May 5. The lady Indians ended up winning the single game, 14-1, to win the WAC title.
