The Hays High boys basketball team went into Colby for the Orange & Black Classic tournament from Jan. 20-22 and won three straight games to take the tournament title.

The first game on Jan. 20 was against Liberty High School from Colorado. Hays won the game 63-34, with senior Jace Linenberger leading the way with 18 points.

The semi-final game on Jan. 21 was against Beloit, who Hays beat 49-34. senior Carson Keiffer led the charge with a career high of 20 points.

For the final game on Jan. 22, it was another blowout Olathe North, as Hays won, 63-42. Linenberger again led the way with 21 points, although 10 different players scored for the Indians.

Hays will play friday in Salina Central against the mustangs on January 28th
