The girls tennis team claimed its first ever WAC title on Oct. 4, at Dodge City.
Senior Hanna Pfannenstiel got the player of year award, while coach Brett Jensen got coach of the year.
Pfannenstiel also claimed first in the No. one singles division.
Senior Jill Taylor placed third in the No. two singles division.
In both the No. one and No. two doubles division the teams placed first. Seniors Bonnie McRae and Emily Wyse were the No. one team with juniors Megan Bird and Janae Gagnon were the No. two team.
WAC All-Conference players other than Pfannenstiel were McRae, Wyse, Bird, and Gagnon.
“Our girls came in and claimed the school’s first WAC girl’s tennis title,” Jensen said. “The girls knew what they needed to do, and they executed well.”
