District KMEA choir qualifiers announced

Auditions for district and state KMEA choir were held on Saturday, Nov. 7 at HHS.

Students who auditioned practiced the entirety of the pieces for about a month, and the actual audition cuts for a week before the audition.

Voice parts were split up into four different audition groups: B2 (bass 2), B1 (bass 1), T2 (tenor 2), T1 (tenor 1), A2 (alto 2), A1 (alto 1), S2 (soprano 2) and S1 (soprano 1).

Of those who auditioned, those qualifying for district KMEA as a B2 were senior Josh Jacobs and sophomore Adam Klausmeyer.

B1 qualifiers are freshman Brett Bowles, freshman Hayden Giebler, senior Tanner Moore and freshman Skyler Prickett.

T2 qualifiers are junior Hayden Sillmon, senior Jared Thom, sophomore Ryan Will and freshman Zac Wyse.

T1 qualifiers are senior Brandon Davidson, and sophomore Michael Hernandez and senior Michael Ploutz.

A2 qualifiers are sophomore Erin Adams, junior Madison Crees, junior Rachelle Lumpkins, sophomore Kourtney Muench and freshman Paige Zamecnik.

A1 qualifiers are sophomore Rylea Barrett, junior Jordyn Dake, senior Taylor Leiker, senior Rachel Nansel and sophomore Kayla Satomi,

S2 qualifiers are junior Anniston Weber, senior Courtney Ellis, sophomore Shelby Knoll, freshman Madison Lisman, freshman Hannah McQuire, sophomore Erin Muirhead, sophomore Taya Randle and sophomore Emily Ricke.

S1 qualifiers are freshman Rebecca Anderson, junior Kristen Nease, and sophomore Sarah Wyse.

District KMEA choir qualifiers will perform Dec. 5. Students who attend district choir are eligible to be in state KMEA. Not attending district will result in a student no longer being considered for state.
