Girls varsity tennis plays at McPherson
Senior McKena McBride and junior Brittnee Leiker played #2 doubles at the meet.
Girls’ varsity tennis played at McPherson on Saturday, Oct. 3. Hays placed seventh while McPherson Red placed first.
ten different teams competed at the meet.
The results are as follows:
Playing #1 singles, junior Morgan Shorb placed 8th with a score of 1-3. Shorb’s scores were 8-6, 1-8, 6-8, a d 3-8.
Playing #2 singles, Emmy Morely placed 16th with a score of 1-4. Morely’s scores were 8-4, 2-8, 0-8, 2-8, and 5-8.
Playing #1 doubles, juniors Danica Scheve and Kaylor Wellbrock placed 14th with a score of 1-3. Scheve’s and Wellbrock’s scores were 3-8, 3-8, 8-4, and 1-8.
Playing #2 doubles, senior McKena McBride and junior Brittnee Leiker placed 16th with a score of 1-4. McBride’s and Leiker’s scores were 8-5, 0-8, 1-8, 2-8, and 5-8.
