Volleyball goes 2-4 at Great Bend Tournament on Oct. 5

With the season well under way, the Indian volleyball squad is now 8-15 after the Great Bend Tournament on Oct. 5 where the team went 2-4.

The teams present at the tournament were Hays, Great Bend, Phillipsburg, St. Johns, Hutchinson, Salina Central and Wichita West.

For the first game, the girls suffered a loss against Great Bend. The Indians lost in two games with a 20-25 loss in the first and 23-25 decision in the second.

The team was unable to turn things around in its second match of the day against Phillipsburg. The team lost in two games going 26-28 and 26-28.

Things finally turned in the teams favor as it won its third match against St. Johns in two games going 25-22 in the first and 27-25 in the second

The team lost its fourth game against Hutchinson losing the first game with a 14-25 decision and an 18-25 decision in the second.

The team also lost its fifth game against Salina Central where it lost the first game 23-25 and lost the second game 15-25.

The team secured a win against Wichita West with a 25-15 decision in the first game and a 25-9 decision in the second.

The next action for the team will be at the Hays Quad on Oct. 7.
