An early one goal lead didn’t prove to be enough for the boys soccer team as they tied with Dodge City 1-1.
The Indians got a goal under two minutes into the game from junior Lane Clark for the 1-0 lead.
Both teams played out the rest of the first half with Hays maintaining the lead.
The red demons got their goal with about 15 minutes left in the second half on a penalty kick.
At the end of regulation the game was still tied 1-1 and went into overtime.
Neither team was able to put in a goal in the first or second overtime bringing the game to a close.
The next game for the boys soccer team is Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Great Bend.
