Aaron Pfannenstiel, 44, and James Jacob, 67, passed away Tuesday afternoon after a trench collapse on 8th and Main. Both were graduates of Hays High and had family members involved with the school.

The Ellis County Ministerial Alliance will hold a candlelight prayer service on at 6:30 p.m Sunday. People attending will meet outdoors, near the Ellis County Administration building and the site of the accident.

Local pastors from various denominations will be offering prayer services and representatives of the community will be there speaking, also.
