Local taco truck has amazing authentic Mexican food

Tacos El Patron is one of the various Mexican food trucks here in Hays, and it is always located on the corner of East 11th Street and Vine Street, close to south McDonald’s. The truck that used to be there was called Taco Riendo, but that truck recently moved somewhere else. While the sign for Taco Riendo is still there, if you see that sign on Vine Street, just know it is now Tacos El Patron.

They have a variety of authentic Mexican dishes on their truck’s menu, including items such as flautas, tacos, tortas and more. When ordering, you can call in and pick up your order at the window, or you can park in front of their truck, place your order and then wait in your car for your food. When it is nice outside, they do have picnic tables for customers.

In my opinion, this is really one of the best places for authentic Mexican food in Hays. I always get the flautas or the nachos; they both come with lettuce and tomatoes, and I always ask them to put white queso on top for a little bit more flavor. Another thing I add are the red and green salsas, which add even more flavor to your meal. The proportions are very generous and will fill you up for sure.
