Concurrent credit enrollment to take place next week
Enrollment for concurrent credit is taking place at Hays High from noon to 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 in the library. Concurrent credit is a program designed to help high school students earn college credit while still enrolled in high school.
Fort Hays State University, NCK Tech, and Barton Community College will be in the library during that time to help students and families pay for concurrent credit. The colleges all have different classes available for credit.
Fort Hays State University concurrent credit classes include: College Algebra, Fundamentals of Oral Communication and Intro to Computer Information.
Sociology concurrent credit can be taken from NCK Tech.
Barton Community College offers credit in these classes: Graphic Imaging, Spanish III, Spanish I, American History, AP American History and AP American Government.
