Hays tennis competes in Dodge City, Abilene, Salina, Garden City

On April 17, Hays High School boys tennis traveled to Dodge City to play. Preston Parr and Mason Schleicher, who played No. 1 Doubles, along with the No. 2 Doubles team of Tacoma Augustine and Logan Schmidt, all placed first. Madox Zimmerman, playing No. 1 Singles, took first, and Ethan Dague, playing No. 2 Singles, took second. Ending the day, the team placed first overall.

The next day, on April 18, Xavier Catura and Henry Fitzthum finished third in the No. 1 Doubles, and the No. 2 Doubles team of Kale Schwien and Ken Shaffer placed first. For the singles teams, Kaiden Bunger and Will Linenberger both achieved first place.

Traveling to Salina on April 20, Colin Clark competed in No. 1 Singles, placing fourth, and Bunger participated in No. 2 Singles, placing sixth. The doubles team of Catura and Fitzthum finished fifth, and Carsen Riat and Jack Scoby took seventh.

Finally, for the week, starting an early morning in Garden City on April 22, Logan Chance and Linenberger both placed, with Chance in 18th and Linenberger in 12th. The doubles teams of Parr and Schleicher took ninth, winning the bottom bracket, and Schwien and Shaffer took sixth, being the only Hays team to qualify for the top bracket.
