The Hays High School girls tennis team went to regionals on Oct. 12 at Salina.
The team took junior Delia Dixon with junior Emersyn Sander and senior Kaelin Maier with senior Alyse Zimmerman for doubles. For singles, they brought senior Maycie Holdeman and senior Isabelle Jones. At regionals, they played the No. 2 seed so they did not qualify for state.
“Our success at WAC [Western Athletic Conference] and general competitiveness with the other WAC school teams was a great accomplishment and ending to the season,” head coach Kayla Brown said. “The girls have a lot to be proud of this season.”
