Senior Garrett Wellbrock officially signed to play baseball for Fort Hays State University on Nov. 29 at the Hays High School cafeteria. He signed surround by family, classmates, teammates, friends and coaches.

Wellbrock decided to play for FHSU on Oct. 29.

“It felt great to sign before the season just so I don’t have any pressure trying to get recruited going into the season,” Wellbrock said.

Wellbrock chose FHSU because he said he is familiar with the campus and facilities and he really liked the coaching staff.

“I’m most looking forward to playing baseball year-round and continuing to get better and grow as a player,” Wellbrock said.
