Lady Indians produce a road win over Great Bend Panthers
On Jan. 12 the girls basketball team traveled to Great Bend to take on their rivals, the Great Bend Panthers and won 48-34.
In the first three minutes of the game, the Indians took control by going on a 10-0 run, which would ultimately never allow the Panthers to get within three points.
Coming out of halftime they were able to go on a 6-0 run which would leave the Panthers behind for the rest of the game, with the score being 38-28 going into the fourth quarter.
The Indians limited the Panthers to only six fourth quarter points while building their lead to end the game 48-34.
Junior Aleyia Ruder led her team with 13 points, and sophomore Carly Lang had a season high of 12 points. Senior Reanna Green had a game high of 11 rebounds.
The lady Indians are now 2-5 on the season and move to 1-2 in Western Athletic Conference play. They will play on Jan. 15 at home against Garden City.
