Girls varsity tennis places second at Great Bend make up meet
Maggie Robben played #1 singles at Great Bend.
The girls varsity tennis team played at Great Bend on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
The teams played to an eight-game pro set and a tie breaker at 7-7. Hays placed second overall.
The results are as follows:
Playing #1 singles, senior Maggie Robben placed second with a total of six points. Robben’s scores were 0-8, 8-0 and 8-7.
Playing #2 singles, junior Jamie Haddaway placed third with a total of two points. Haddaway’s scores were 5-8, 1-8 and 8-5.
Playing #1 doubles, juniors Caroline Robben and Sage Zweifel placed second with a total of six points. Robben’s and Zweifel’s scores were 0-8, 8-0 and 8-3.
Playing #2 doubles, seniors Taylor Deines and Brittnee Leiker placed second with a total of four points. Deines’ and Leiker’s scores were 6-8, 8-4 and 8-7.
