Indian baseball has first loss of season

The Indian baseball traveled to Great Bend to finish out the double header with the Panthers. They lost this game to split with the Panthers.

The game started out with Great Bend scoring first in the first inning, then the Indians scored one in the second. The Panthers then scored three runs in the fifth, while the Indians scored three in the sixth and two in the seventh, and the Panthers scored three in the seventh.

During the game the Indians had six hits and one error, while the Panthers had eight hits and three errors.

Senior Trey Riggs pitched for 1.2 innings and had two walks and two strikeouts. Then Freshman Dylan Dreiling came in to pitch 4.1 innings, and had six strikeouts and three walks.

The Indians are 11-1 on the season and will play April 26 at home against Liberal.
