The boys basketball team faced off against Liberal on Feb. 10. After their last face off Hays was looking for revenge.

The Indians hit the first basket of the night and would lead by as much as four. Liberal would fight back and end the first quarter down by one with a score of 13-12.

The Red Skins would take over the second quarter going on a 10 -0 run to make the score 22-13. The second half ended with a score of 17-26. Hays would comeback in the third quarter and bring the score to 31-33, the quarter ended with a score of 31-35.

For most of the fourth quarter Liberal would not lose their lead, but the Indians didn’t go down without a fight. It wasn’t enough to win, though, the Indians ended up falling to the Red Skins 43-42.

The Indians next action with be against Abilene On February 14, in Abilene.
