Boys basketball defeats Great Bend; 69-43

The boys’ basketball team defeated Great Bend on Feb. 26.

The Indians started their lead off immediately, pulling ahead during the first half to make the half time score 34-25. Continuing this lead, the Indians scored 35 points in the second half, which made the final score 69-43.

The team now has a 16-4 season record and a 6-2 WAC record. The Indians will be the number two seed at sub-state. This victory was number 500 in coach Rich Keltner’s career.

Leading the team in points was Shane Berens with 22 points. Also in the double digits of points was Isaiah Nunnery with 20 points. Rounding out the scoring was Maddux Winter with 8 points, Drew Young with 6, Keith Dryden and Laken Jacobs with 4 points each, Marcus Altman with 3 and Tyrese with 2 points.

The Indians will next play Buhler on March 4.
