Girls cross country take fourth on Oct. 11

The girls cross country team finished fourth out of seven teams at the Salina Invitational on Oct. 11.

Hays finished with 106 points, ahead of Goddard Eisenhower with 125, Salina South with 131 and Wichita West with 176. Maize South took first with 46 points, followed by Dodge City, also with 46 points. Clay Central took third with 84 points.

Individually, sophomore Marie Reveles took 8th with a time of 16:48. Junior Haley George and sophomore Alyssa Bryant took 20th and 24th with times of 17:41 and 17:58. Junior Courtney Green and freshman Madison Schmidt took 29th and 30th with times of 18:28 and 18:29. Summer Smith was 32nd with a time of 18:36. Rounding out the varsity scores was freshman Tana Herreman in 37th with a time of 19:05.

The next cross country meet will take place in Hays on Oct. 16.
