Girls cross country takes 4th at regional in Newton
The girls cross country team compete at the regional in Newton on Oct. 25 placing fourth with 118 points. Two seniors ran their last meet.
Freshmen Marie Reveles and Haley George qualified for state. Reveles had a time of 16:27 and took 15th place while George placed in 18th with a time of 16:37.
Junior Summer Smith finished in 25th place with a time of 17:27 followed by freshman Alyssa Bryant with a time of 17:51 in 29th place. Junior Bailee Leiker had a time of 18:23 in 34th place, senior Wendy Zimmerman finished in 36th place with a time of 18:34, and senior Reagan Kaiser finished with a time of 18:50 in 39th place.
Other team scores were Maize South, 33; Valley Center, 40; Newton, 79; Salina South, 123; Great Bend, 128; Salina Central, 205.
