On Monday, the boys swim team competed at the home meet winning with 209 points.
The team had eight first place finishes. Senior Derek Drees won the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard butterfly. Senior Connor Hess won the 200 yard individual medley. Senior Blake Mathews won both the 200 yard freestyle and the 500 yard freestyle. Junior Austin Chambers won the 100 yard breaststroke. The team also won the 200 medley relay, consisting of Hess, Chambers, Drees, and Mathews, and the 200 freestyle relay, consisting of Mathews, sophomore Morgan Mathews, senior Joshua Brungardt, and Drees.
Chambers qualified for state in the 100 yard breaststroke during the meet. Both Hess and M. Mathews made state consideration times in the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard butterfly respectively.
