The ladies played against the Garden City Buffaloes Feb. 17 at home. The game ended with only a five point difference in score of 48-43, but a win for the ladies.
In the first quarter the ladies had an 11 point lead with the score being 15-4. At the half the score was 21-13 with the ladies maintaining their lead.
Senior Paige Lunsford made 60 percent of her field goals and juniors Katelyn Schumacher and Kaitlin Gulley made 50 percent of theirs. Junior Taylor Herman had three blocks during the game and Schumacher had one. Lunsford and Herman both had five personal fouls and junior Emily Braun had three.
In the third quarter, the Buffaloes attempted to close the gap bringing the score 33-30. In the fourth quarter, the ladies made 15 more points and the Buffaloes made 13, but still counting as a win for the ladies.
