The boys soccer team claimed its second win in a row, as it beat Bishop Carroll 3-1 at home.
Carroll took the early lead as they were up 1-0 at the half.
In the second half the Indians were kick started by sophomore Lane Clark who had a laser of a shot going off the far post and in from 30 yards out.
“It felt good to get that goal,” Clark said.
The team didn’t score again until less than ten minutes were left in the game when senior Tanner Staab flicked the ball over Carroll’s back line to junior Kellen Griffin who put the ball in the back of the net.
Senior Garrett Sander then had the assist on the next goal when he dribbled down the sideline, cut the ball back and sent it into the box where sophomore Jordan Windholz headed the ball into the goal.
The next game for Hays is Thursday, Oct. 20, against TMP at the new Bickle/Schmidt sports complex.
