Th boys soccer team praying before their game against Wichita Classical that resulted in a 4-2 win for the Indians.

The boys soccer team came up short in a rematch against their WAC rivals, the Great Bend Panthers 2-1.

Panthers took the lead half way through the first half 2-0. The Indians fought back in the second half with multiple scoring opportunities.

Junior Matt Goodale would earn a penalty kick mid-way through the second half giving the Indians an opportunity to bring the game within one point.

Senior Trey McCrae slotted the ball into the side net bring the game within one, his first game back from injury.

The Indians couldn’t bring in another goal after the penalty kick and would fall 2-1.

The Indians fall to 3-5 on the season and 0-3 in WAC, the Indians will play at 4 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Hays High Soccer Field against Buhler High School.
