Augustine said she hopes both publications can be produced as planned and will not be affected due to COVID-19. She also said she hopes that the Guidon online and print newspapers and the Indian Call yearbook can earn All-Kansas Awards, which are the top awards given by the Kansas Scholastic Press Association.

Finally, Augustine said she wants students in both publications to form a bond with each other, have fun and learn something from the classes.

“On both sides, we have a lot of experienced veterans that will provide good leadership, but I also think we brought in a lot of new faces from different areas of the school and different kinds of people that I think are going to bring some different perspectives to both staffs,” Augustine said.
