The Gender and Sexuality Alliance nominated candidates and elected a president on Oct 15. Senior Brianna Mathias was elected as president, sophomore Amiyah Gonzalez became vice president and sophomore Erin Adams was chosen as secretary.

The leaders of this group plan to keep the group organized and get the word out. They are willing to answer questions and are aimed at trying to gain this group more visibility.

“I’m very excited to continue leading this group,” Mathias said. “GSA is so important to have at our school and I want to do my best to help decrease ignorance and increase tolerance towards the LGBT+ community in our school.”
