The Hays High girls tennis team had its home meet on Thursday, Sept. 1. The results were as follows:

Singles – senior Katrina Delimont – third, sophomore Isabelle Jones – fifth

Doubles No. 1 – seniors Danica Scheve and Kaylor Wellbrock – third

Doubles No. 2 – seniors Rylie Fairbank and Jaylynn Weilert – third

“I think the season has been challenging so far,” Scheve said. “It’s been hard because tennis is a mental game, and we have had trouble staying out of our head. However, we have been having a lot of fun playing with each other and encouraging each other, and I’m excited for the rest of the season.”
