Girls golf takes first in Hutchinson

Junior Claire Humphrey watched her putt at the Hays High Invitational Tournament at Smoky Hill Country Club.

The Indian girls golf team took first with a score of 340 at the Hutchinson Invitational at Carey Park on Oct. 1.

Sophomore Katie Dinkel shot a 79 for third, freshman Jaycee Oakley took seventh with an 86, sophomore Evyn Cox placed ninth with an 87 and sophomore Abbie Norris shot an 88 for 12th.

Their next tournament is on Oct. 5 in Great Bend.
