On Aug. 29, the boys soccer team hosted an alumni game to serve as their preseason scrimmage because Maroon and Gold was cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.

The field was slick and wet because of rain from the night before, but that did not stop either team.

They battled throughout the entire game, and it was a good experience for the new 2020 team to play some of the more experienced alumni of the soccer program.

They did not keep score throughout the match, but that did not take anything away from the intensity that the team and the alumni both played with.

The team will officially start their season on Sept. 1 at home against Garden City.
