Volleyball improves on season 3-0 at Pratt Quad on Sept. 17

The Lady Indian volleyball team played at the Pratt Quad on Sept. 17. Teams present were Ulysses, Pratt, Garden City, and Hays.

In the first game against Ulysses, the ladies won with victories of 25-16 and 28-26. Senior Kylie Brown led with seven kills while senior Tessa Stickel followed with six kills. Seniors Taylor Groen-Younger and Madison Prough had 10 and nine assists, respectively. Senior Albany Schaffer had 13 digs.

Against the home team, the squad won in straight games with scores of 25-17 and 25-12.  Stickel had 12 kills while Brown put up eight kills. Groen-Younger and Prough each had 11 assists. Schaffer had 10 digs.

In the final game against Garden City, the girls won after three matches with scores of 25-17, 20-25, and 25-19. Brown led this game with nine kills with Stickel following her with six kills. Prough had 10 assists while Schaffer had 19 digs.

The Lady Indians are now 8-0 on their season. The next action will be on Sept. 26 in Newton.
