The varsity girls’ tennis team played at Garden City on Sept. 28. There were 14 teams total at the meet that day.

Sophomore Brooke Forinash played number one singles and took 7^th place with a 3-2 mark.

Senior Julie Balzer took 6^th place with a 3-3 mark while playing number two singles.

Playing number one doubles was senior Kelsee DeBoer and junior Emily McPherson taking 6 ^th place with a 3-3 mark.

The number two doubles team was junior Ashley Cossaart and Senior Abbey Rupke. They played at the city courts while the rest of the team played at the high school. The took 10^th place with a 2-3 mark.

The girls hurried home that night to make it back to the homecoming dance. Although sunburnt and tired, many made it an hour late to the dance.
