The girl’s golf team grabbed the second place team spot at the Liberal Invitational at Willow Tree golf course on Sept. 26.

Junior Lexie Schaben took third place individually with a nine-hole score of 43, while freshman Katie Brungardt also scored a 43 but came in at fourth place. In the eighth place spot was junior Elissa Jensen with a 48 and right behind her was freshman Rhian Patterson in 10th place with a score of 49. All these girls placing in the top 10.

Out of a five team field, other team scores were Garden City, 168; Hays, 183; Dodge City, 203; Great Bend, 208; Liberal, 216.

Individually, Abbi Shaddix from Garden City took first place with a score of 33.

The next action for the lady Indians will be at Sept. 30 at Hoisington.
