Student Council hosts monthly meeting

The Hays High School Student Council met in the cafeteria on Feb. 7 to discuss past events and upcoming events.
They discussed the attendance for Indian Call and how the event went overall.
Next, there was an opportunity for members of StuCo to sign up for selling candy grams to the student body. Candy grams were for any students to buy for someone throughout the week of Valentine’s Day to show your love and appreciation.
“My favorite part of selling candy grams was seeing people be happy while giving them to others,” said junior Allie Bunger.
StuCo also informed all of the participants about the upcoming personal hygiene drive they will be sponsoring with JAG-K from Feb. 20 to Feb. 29.
Finally, they discussed the upcoming basketball game between the Hays High staff and the Thomas More Prep staff. This basketball game is raising funds for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Foundation and will take place on Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m.
