Students organize See You at the Pole

Every fourth Wednesday of each September, students around the world organize a movement called “See You at the Pole.”

See You at the Pole is explained as students gathering around the school flagpole to pray and lift all their needs and worries. This movement began in 1990 and has continued since.

On Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7:15 a.m., Hays High students and other community members gathered around the flagpole for a moment of prayer.

After they prayed, they enjoyed donuts and conversation with each other. After everyone got their fair share of donuts, they started to pass around donuts to students walking into the school.

“We got to bless them with donuts and pray over them before their day started at school,” sophomore Samantha Sanderson said.
