Hays High Chamber Singers perform at St. Fidelis Cathedral

On Sunday, Dec. 12, the Hays High choir will travel to the St. Fidelis Basilica Cathedral Church in Victoria. They will be singing with students from Sterling High School.

First, at 3:10 p.m., there will be a brass prelude to start off the event. The concert officially starts at 3:30 p.m.

The sopranos and altos will sing “Ave Maria” with the other choirs, then the tenors and basses will sing “Hodie Aperuit,” including solo performances from Hays High students. After that, the Chamber Singers will sing their two winter pieces, “Ave Verum Corpus” and “O Magnum Mysterium.”

After the performance by Hays, they will sit down and watch as the other choirs perform. After the concert, the Chamber Singers will be taking their annual photo as a group.
