Agriculture teacher receives grant from Corteva Agriscience
Nikole Winter, the new agriculture teacher, has received a grant of $1,320 from Corteva Agriscience.
“I learned about this grant when I was in college and getting ready to start my teaching career,” Winter said. “My first year teaching, I received a similar grant to apply to a workshop in the summer of 2020. However, that workshop was cancelled due to COVID. This year, I reapplied and received another grant, but this time from Corteva Agriscience. Both of the grants/scholarships that I have received will be applied to a virtual workshop that I will attend this summer.”
She will be using the winnings for a Professional Development workshop hosted by CASE (Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education) with the main focus on animal science.
“With the remaining funds, I will be able to purchase supplies that will help me when implementing the CASE curriculum within my classroom,” Winter said.
