Juniors Antoni Leiker, Johnessa Gay, and Levi Weilert attend a GSA meeting. Meetings take place every Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. in Room 112A.

On Jan. 28, Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) had their second meeting in Room 112A to discuss the future of the club and to get student input on what the club should do and discuss.

“We talked about how to improve conditions in school for LBGT students, which is really important,” junior Cami Moore said. “Some people think they can spill milk on other kids because of who they are. It’s honestly appalling.”

One of the things that club discussed is if students were worried if they would be a target if they are a part of GSA and what to possibly do if they do become a target.

Another thing the club discussed is ways to promote GSA. Some members will be making possible designs for posters, buttons, bracelets and T-shirts. The group will look over the designs in the next meeting.

“I think the meeting went really great!” Moore said. “We discussed a lot of things that’ll really help our community.”

Anyone who wants to join GSA can. The club will meet every Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. in Room 112A.

“People should join if they’re looking for a community of amazing support,” Moore said. “It doesn’t matter if you’re straight or not, as long as you’re an ally, you’re welcome. Wokeness really is a gift, and it’s great to share it with like-minded people.”
