The Dane G. Hansen Foundation awards several scholarships to selected seniors who have taken the test and done well on their interviews.

The Dane G. Hansen Foundation has named 288 high school seniors from across the 59 eligible counties of Northwest Kansas.

No student from Hays High received the Hansen Leader of Tomorrow scholarship, an award of $10,000. Several students however received the Hansen Scholar scholarship, an award of $6,500 and renewable for three additional years, and the Hansen Student scholarship, an award of $4,000 and renewable for one additional year. Other students received the Career and Technical Education scholarship, an award of $4,000 and renewable for one additional year.
