Girls’ tennis places first at Cimarron

The girls’ tennis team played at Cimarron on Aug. 27 for their first meet of the fall season, competing against Cimarron, Tribune, South Central, Ulysses and St. John.

The team came in first place overall out of all six teams.

Junior Brooke Forinash played number one singles and went 5-0 and secured first place.

Playing number two singles was sophomore Sarah Wyse. She also went 5-0 and came in first place.

The number one doubles team consisted of senior Fengxue (Sylina) Zhang and junior Joselyn Dinkel. They posted a 3-2 mark and secured second place.

The number two doubles team of freshman Brianna Forinash and sophomore Gabriela Taliaferro also made a 5-0 mark and came in first place overall.
