Baseball plays against six teams from April 9 to April 19

Hays High School baseball played against Great Bend on Tuesday, April 9 with two wins, the first game being 4-0 and the second game being 5-4.

On Friday, April 12 they played Clay Center, and the first game was a loss of 5-4 along with the second game being a loss of 3-2.

They traveled to Dodge City on Tuesday, April 16. In the first game, they won with a score of 3-2, and in the second game, they also won with a score of 18-2.

To round out the past weeks, they participated in a tournament on Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19. On the first day, they played Blue Valley Southwest in DeSoto and lost the game, 1-0. On the second day, they traveled to Gardner-Edgerton, where they played Shawnee Mission North and lost, 4-0. They went on to play against Gardner-Edgerton and also lost, 1-0.

“I feel the season is going very well,” junior Carter Graham said. “The games we’ve lost have been to really good teams that we put up a good fight with.”
