The Lady Indians basketball lost to Garden City, 47-30 on Feb. 17.

The win against Garden City makes their record 5-13 in the season.

In the first quarter Garden City lead the quarter 12-4 against Hays. In the second quarter Hays lead the scoring 12-10. The score at the half was Garden City 22-16. In the third quarter Garden City lead the scoring by a margin of 14-2, and in the final quarter Hays outscored Garden City 12-11, accounting for the final score.

Audra Schmeidler scored 10 points shooting 5-8 inside the arc, 0-1 behind the arc. She had five rebounds and no assists. Emily Peckham added seven points and Haley George added four points to Hays’ score.

Rounding out the remaining score was Mattie Schlaefli with three points, Maddie Keller, Nicole Dinkel, and Brooke Russell all added two points to complete the final score.
