Senior Lexie Schaben signed to play golf at Fort Hays State University on April 15.

Schaben played golf all four years of high school, including varsity her sophomore, junior and senior years. As a freshman, she primarily played junior varsity, but did see some varsity action on a team that eventually placed second at the Class 5A state tournament.

As a senior, Schaben placed first at regionals and then led the Indians to a Class 4A state championship after placing fifth as an individual.

“I think that adjusting to the new atmosphere will be a bit nerve wracking,” Schaben said. “I am excited to start playing in college.”
