Hays High Guidon
Orchestra group performed in Wichita March 26 before their final performance later in April.
Students were required to be at the Hays High parking at 5:15 A.M. While some didn’t like to get up early, they still stated that the trip was fun.
“The trip was a cool experience and I really liked the conductor,” said sophomore Courtney Ellis.
Very positive feedback was given out and the students enjoyed working with conductor Laycock.
After performing, the students also got to watch a 16 minute movement that WSU played which was also conducted by Dr. Laycock.
There were students from all over the state but according to orchestra teacher Joan Crull, Hays represented well and they are prepared for their later final performance.
