Despite the on-site competition being canceled due to inclement weather, 17 journalism students were still able to compete in the KSPA Regional Journalism Competition through off-site contests. After an extended judging period, the results were released on March 12. Fifteen students in 24 events qualified for state. Detailed results are as follows.
