Band receives Superior I rating at FHSU Marching Festival

The band and dance team attended the annual Fort Hays Marching Festival on Oct. 29 at Lewis Field on the FHSU campus.
The band received a I in Music 1, a I in Music 2, a I in Marching and Maneuvering, a I for General Effect, a I for Auxiliary and a II in Percussion for an overall Superior I rating.
“Our overall marching show performance really improved since the WAC Marching Festival two weeks ago,” band director Craig Manteuffel said. “The audience and judges really enjoyed the Pirate theme and receiving a Superior I rating is a great way to close out the 2012 marching season. I am very proud of the all the students in both the band and the dance team for making our show a success. Great job.”
