On Sept. 19, the Hays High School Indian volleyball team traveled to Ulysses, where they won all three games.
For the first game, they faced the Garden City Buffaloes. The Indians won their first match, lost their second match, and won their final match, bringing the score to 2-1.
In the second game, they went against the Pratt Greenbacks. The Indians won both their matches against Pratt, with a score of 2-0.
For the final game, they competed against the Ulysses Tigers. The Indians won both their matches again, with a 2-0 score.
“Against Ulysses, we didn’t start off as strong as we should have,” head coach Shannon Funk said. “We let them hang around in the game longer than they should, but then we ended up winning.”
So far, the lady Indians are going strong and fighting hard. On Sept. 26, the team will compete in Hays against Chapman and Phillipsburg.
