On Jan. 18, the Hays High boys and girls bowling team competed in a home meet against Liberal.
For the varsity boys, sophomore Tyler Huynh was awarded third place.
“I feel really good about the season right now because, at all of our past meets, at least one person has made it into the top three for both boys and girls varsity,” Huynh said. “I am looking forward to more players from our team take over more leaderboard positions.”
For the varsity girls, Hays took both second and third place. Senior Abigail Redding-Boyer was awarded second place with a score of 409. Sophomore Lucinda Meade was awarded third place with a score of 408.
“So far, I believe the season is going pretty good,” Redding-Boyer said. “I am bowling way better than I did last year, and I look forward to continue my winning streak when we face off against Garden City.”
